Professor Velia Colombo McCabe has taught nursingat Gwynedd Mercy University since 1992. Her specialties are obstetrics, pediatrics, and women’s health. Her past professional experience includes positions as a certified parish nurse, a nurse manager for Albert Einstein Medical Center, certified childbirth educator, and staff nurse.
She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Holy Family, her master’s degree in nursing from Villanova University and is certified in pediatrics. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau (the National Nursing Honor Society), National League for Nursing, Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses, among many others.
