Dr. Sargent joined the faculty at Gwynedd Mercy University on a full-time basis in January 2020, having worked as an adjunct faculty member the previous year. She has worked in a wide variety of different health care settings, both inpatient and outpatient.
Dr. Sargent received her bachelor’s of science degree from Thomas Jefferson University; master’s from University of Maryland; and doctorate from Villanova University. She holds certifications as an Advanced Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist and in Pain Management Nursing.
She has presented at many local, regional, and national conferences. Additionally, she has authored several articles and book chapters, and she is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society, American Society of Pain Management Nursing, and Sigma Theta Tau.
