Christie joined the Gwynedd Mercy University team in February 2021 as the Clinical Coordinator of the BSN and Weekend BSN programs.
She began her nursing career as a staff nurse at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in the Trauma/Surgical step down unit and Trauma/Surgical intensive care unit. She moved to Lankenau Medical Center as a nursing supervisor and then as Clinical Nurse Educator of the intensive care unit and trauma program, where she still practices as a per diem Nurse Educator. Christie has also taught as adjunct faculty for Villanova University and the University of Pennsylvania.
Christie earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the Catholic University of America and her master’s in nursing from Drexel University. She also serves on the Nurse Resident Advisory Board for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and has presented at multiple local nursing conferences.
