Other areas of expertise include faculty development, the structure and function of medical education, with a focus on the interaction between individual and systems level characteristics and competencies, and patient engagement and shared decision making. She has authored and co-authored over 30 academic publications in Health Affairs, Academic Medicine, Medical Education, the Journal of Graduate Medical Education and the Journal of Continuing Education in Health Professions, to name a few. She was a frequent presenter and invited speaker at Annual Sessions (APHA, SGIM, RIME, AAMC, SHM and Academy Health), and the recipient of several awards and recognition for her dedication to medical education. She continues to consult for the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education and the Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar.
Beth holds an MPH in Community Health Education from Temple University and a BA in Psychology and Pre-Medicine from Bucknell University. She has also completed all but dissertation requirements at the Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research at Bryn Mawr College.
