Ellen Murray, RSM, PhD, holds degrees in elementary education, pastoral counseling, and systematic and historical theology. She has taught elementary school, ministered as a hospital chaplain, and accompanied women discerning a call to the Sisters of Mercy. Her area of research is focused on Christian spirituality and medieval women mystics with particular attention to Catherine of Siena.
