Dr. Jody Lerner is a PA licensed professional counselor. She began working in the graduate counseling program at Gwynedd Mercy University in 2018 as an adjunct and now additionally serves as the Counseling Field Coordinator.
Her alma maters include Penn State University (BS), Villanova University (MS) and Immaculata University (Ed.D). She began her career in clinical mental health for a community based mental health/drug and alcohol outpatient facility engaging in a variety of interactions with people from different backgrounds, cultures, ethnicities, and unique presenting concerns.
Dr. Lerner has spent the last 20+ years teaching counseling in higher education. She has been an adjunct faculty member in undergraduate and graduate psychology and counseling programs throughout her career. Her interests lie in utilizing her experience and expertise in helping graduate students plot their career through classes, internships, and advising.
She has maintained a private practice for more than15 years specializing in working with individuals with issues around depression, anxiety, and life transitions. She utilizes a multidimensional perspective as well as a variety of methods to integrate diversity and techniques, which can benefit individuals and families struggling with mental health concerns.
