Karen A. Fallon, PhD, CCC-SLP is a Professor and Program Director of the MSSLP Program at Gwynedd Mercy University. Prior to joining the GMercyU Faculty in 2021, Dr. Fallon held faculty appointments at Towson University, University of MD, and Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Fallon was the SLP Graduate Program Director at Towson University from 2010-2021. Dr. Fallon received her BS, MS, and PhD from Penn State.
Dr. Fallon's teaching and research interests are in the areas of spoken and written language disorders, including dyslexia. Dr. Fallon teaches courses in spoken and written language development and disorders and was the 2017 recipient of the USM Board of Regents Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching.
Dr. Fallon’s clinical research focuses on supporting children and adolescents with language-based learning disabilities. She has disseminated her scholarly work regularly at international, national, and state conferences and in multiple peer-reviewed journals and book chapters. Dr. Fallon is also the Vice President of the MD chapter of the International Dyslexia Association.
