With 28 years of nursing experience, primarily in maternal child health, Professor Mulcahy brings a wealth of clinical expertise to the classroom. Certified in Inpatient Obstetrics (RNC-OB) and a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE), she has been dedicated to educating the next generation of nurses for the past 11 years.
As a passionate advocate for transformative pedagogy and active learning, Professor Mulcahy integrates real-world clinical scenarios into the classroom, fostering a dynamic and engaging learning environment. Currently pursuing a Doctor of Education (Ed.D) at Gwynedd Mercy University, Professor Mulcahy's dissertation research explores the use of patient narratives to improve student knowledge and attitudes about perinatal substance use disorder.
