Dr. Laura Dowling is an author, Club House Co-host, national leadership and professional development keynote speaker, yogi, and scholar specializing in leadership, education, information technology, health care administration, and the neuroscience of emotion, motivation, and change.
Dr. Dowling has been designing courses and teaching as an adjunct instructor at Gwynedd Mercy University since 2007. She teaches in the College of Arts, Sciences & Professional Studies in both online and traditional programs. Laura is a graduate of Merion Mercy Academy. She serves as a dissertation chair for GMercyU doctoral students pursuing their EdD.
Dr. Dowling brings practical, real-world experience into the classroom leveraging her 25 years of corporate experience in healthcare administration and healthcare information technology building and leading teams to exceed financial and operational expectations. She has a talent for fusing innovative business strategies with information technology and behavioral change to build high-performing teams that exceed expectations through promotion of healthy workplace practices. Her customized approaches enhance individual, team, and organizational capacity to improve performance. She has launched two learning and development departments, authored 43 technical and soft skills training modules, and published multiple thought leadership articles in the healthcare space.
Dr. Dowling holds a Doctor of Management in Organizational Leadership, an MBA in Technology Management, a BA in English Literature and Speech Communications, and multiple technical, counseling, and soft skills certifications, including Neurolinguistic Programming Master Practitioner, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and Ho’oponopono, Emotional Freedom Technique (FFT) and Thought Field Therapy (TFT) Tapping Master Practitioner. Laura is Sigma Alpha Pi, the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) honor society, and was inducted with a Presidential Seal.
Dr. Dowling has 10 years of board of directors’ leadership experience in the career management and education non-profit sectors. An experienced consultant, coach, mentor, and business advisor, she combines theoretical and practical knowledge with information technology and workplace wellbeing strategies to enhance hard and soft skill development, equipping individuals and organizations to successfully navigate complex business dynamics in the rapidly changing world of work.
