Maria Warnick is an Assistant Professor and Program Director for GMercyU's undergraduate Public Health program and also the Director of Student Health and Wellness. She started at GMercyU in 2009 as adjunct faculty in the graduate nursing program, and became full-time faculty in both the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs in 2015.
After completing a doctoral program in public health with a focus in epidemiology, Dr. Warnick joined the public health faculty in 2022.
Maria currently practices as a family nurse practitioner in the GMercyU Student Health and Wellness Center after many years in the college health and primary care settings. She received a diploma in nursing from the Geisinger Medical Center School of Nursing, a BSN from Hahnemann University, an MSN from Thomas Jefferson University, and a Ph.D. in public health from Walden University.
Her research interests focus on college health and the health of young adults, as well as the collaboration of primary care and public health.
