Michele Kusterbeck joined the faculty at Gwynedd Mercy University in August 2021. She has worked in both acute-inpatient and post-acute inpatient hospital settings.
Michele received her bachelors of science degree from Widener University; master’s degree in psychiatric nursing from the University of Pennsylvania; and is a doctoral candidate in Widener University School of Nursing’s PhD program. Her doctoral research is focused on underrepresented nursing faculty’s entrance into higher education. She holds specialty certifications in wound care and rehabilitation nursing.
Michele is an active member in the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses and Sigma Theta Tau. Her research interests include retention of clinical practice registered nurses, diversity of the nursing faculty workforce, and professional mentorship.
