She has spent most of her career as a school-based therapist, working with and advocating for students with attention deficit disorder, autism, cerebral palsy, emotional disturbance, genetic disorders, learning disabilities, and intellectual disabilities.
Dr. Wojton has been a full time faculty member at Gwynedd Mercy since 2018. She has taught classes on foundations of occupational therapy and occupational science, creativity and activity analysis, health and medical conditions, the occupational therapy process, health and wellness promotion, neuroscience, emerging practice, environmental adaptations, and assistive technology.
Dr. Wojton earned a D.Sc. in Rehabilitation Sciences with a specialty in Early Intervention and School-based Practice from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, a M.S. in Occupational Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University, and a B.A. in Sociology from Franklin & Marshall College.
For six years, Dr. Wojton served as the Scientific Site Coordinator for the Philadelphia region for a National Validation Study of the School Outcomes Measure that was funded by the U.S. Department of Education’s Institute of Education Sciences.
In Summer 2024, Dr. Wojton participated in the Occupational Therapy program's mission trip to Kenya to help care for local orphans and vulnerable children.
