Dr. Hoffman taught at both the undergraduate and graduate levels at Gwynedd Mercy University. He earned his BS in computer science from GMercyU, his MBA from St. Joseph’s University and his EdD in Educational Leadership Policy from Temple University.
Before entering higher education, he worked in the field of computer science. He has held the positions of systems analyst, director of computer services, department chairperson, associate vice-president of academic affairs, director of institutional research, interim dean, and interim vice president for academic affairs. Dr. Hoffman also successfully launched his own business.
His primary areas of teaching included marketing and international business. Dr. Hoffman’s research activities led him to developed curriculum in the areas of e-business, corporate studies and advertising across media. His most recent research focused on incorporating mission and faith-based learning into business curriculum and has presented his research at the national level.
Dr. Hoffman was honored with the Anne Fitzpatrick Murray Distinguish Service Award and the Lindback Award for Distinguished Teaching.
