Rebecca Nicholes has been an adjunct professor at Gwynedd Mercy University for the past four years. As an elementary school counselor, she enjoys teaching courses that are focused on helping emerging counselors navigate their way toward obtaining a position in a school themselves.
Rebecca has been an elementary school counselor in central Jersey for the past eight years. She loves working with the elementary population and seeing the development and growth happen during those formative years. Rebecca uses a person-centered approach with all her students and strives to create a counseling atmosphere that is empathic and supportive.
Rebecca has written several published pieces within the counseling field and is also a contributing writer to the parenting publication, Baby Chick. She enjoys writing about the various aspects of pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting and is always looking for her next topic to write about. She lives by the beach in Monmouth County, New Jersey with her husband Tom and two sons, Jack and Theodore.
