Ronald Bruce was an Associate Professor at Gwynedd Mercy University for more than 30 years. Mr. Bruce was a professor for both accounting and statistics courses, as well as instructor for technology courses in the curriculum. He has been recognized as an outstanding educator, being awarded the Christian R. and Mary F. Lindback Foundation Award for Outstanding Teaching in 2004.
Mr. Bruce’s primary research interests were two-fold: 1. Using educational technology to improve teaching and learning for students in the business and accounting curriculum, and 2. Applying the principles of Cognitive Apprenticeship to teaching and learning in statistics education. He has authored scholarly research in providing support to learners engaged in educational software programs, and has designed software that has been used to teach accounting and statistics.
