Sharon Montgomery, OTD, OTR/L, CHT, CEAS serves as an Assistant Professor in the Bachelor of Health Science in Occupational Science and Master of Science in Occupational Therapy Programs within the Frances M. Maguire College of Nursing and Health Professions. Dr. Montgomery has been a registered and licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR®) for over 30 years. She has spent her career working in the hospital setting providing both adult inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation.
Prior to joining Gwynedd Mercy University full time, Dr. Montgomery served as an adjunct faculty member at Thomas Jefferson University and Gwynedd Mercy University teaching orthosis fabrication and functional anatomy classes. Clinically, she was the occupational therapy supervisor for Grand View Health in Sellersville, PA.
Dr. Montgomery earned her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University completing her capstone in health literacy. She has a B.A. in the Biological Basis of Behavior from the University of Pennsylvania, a Certificate in Occupational Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University, and a Certificate in Advanced Practice in Hand and Upper Quarter Rehabilitation from Drexel University.
Dr. Montgomery is certified in hand therapy and ergonomic assessments.
