William (Bill) Holt is a graduate of Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia with a BA Degree majoring in Psychology and minoring in Sociology. Bill obtained his Master’s Degree in Social Work from Bryn Mawr Graduate School of Social Work & Social Research, majoring in case work and social services administration. Bill has received certification as a Drug & Alcohol Specialist and Equal Opportunity Specialist from the U.S. Air Force. He served 30 years in the military, retiring as a Master Sergeant in 2005.
Bill was employed for 12 years as the Philadelphia Division Director of Behavioral Health at Horizon House leaving that position in 2014. Prior to that, he worked for 15 years as the Senior Forensic Specialist & Director of Forensic Aftercare for the Philadelphia Office of Mental Health; 8.5 years as the Mental Health Specialist for the U.S. Probation Office; 2 years as the Director of Children’s Services at Transitional Residence Independence Service in New Jersey and 6.5 years as the Senior therapist at the ACT drug treatment program.
Since 1999 Bill has been an Adjunct Professor in the Behavioral Health Counseling & Family Therapy Program at Drexel University and in 2010 he has became an Adjunct Professor at St. Joseph’s University in the Masters Degree Program in Criminal Justice. In 2016, Bill became an Adjunct Instructor at Gwynedd Mercy University in their General Education & Applied Psychology Programs, and later, for their Counseling Program.
