History Minor
A History minor is not just a fascinating deep dive into the past – it can benefit virtually any career. It’s why students in GMercyU majors from Management to Nursing to Education have minored in History.
As one of the liberal arts, History provides a foundation in:
- researching and processing information
- organizing and presenting ideas in writing and through other mediums
- and, using critical thinking to assess arguments and draw conclusions.
Learning about different populations through history will also help you become culturally competent and foster empathy and compassion.
If you have a GMercyU major other than History, you can earn a minor in History by:
- Completing 18 credits
- Completing all prerequisites for the required and elective courses
- Earning a minimum grade of C in each course
