GMercyU Partnership With the Bucks-Mont Collaborative
Gwynedd Mercy University has partnered with the Bucks-Mont Collaborative, a non-profit organization dedicated to health and human service issues, to provide and oversee Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for BMC members.
As a program accredited by the Council for Social Work Education, GMercyU's Bachelor of Social Work program is a pre-approved CEU provider through the State of Pennsylvania Board of Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Professional Therapists.
Professional clinical courses offered by or through the GMercyU BSW Program are eligible for CEU's without a registration fee to the state for approval. Courses include:
- Cultural Awareness 101 and 102 trainings
- Bridges Out of Poverty 101 and 102
- Annual BMC Summit participation
- Monthly meetings with a clinical focus
- Other courses as recommended by GMercyU's BSW program director
If you have questions, please contact BSW Program Director Wade Luquet, PhD at luquet.w@gmercyu.edu.
What Are Continuing Education Units?
A CEU is a nationally recognized measurement for continuing education programs, typically earned by those in a licensed profession who need to keep their skills up to date to maintain licensure.
