GMercyU Welcomes Touch of Tennis Clinic to Campus
GMercyU's free tennis clinic for athletes with special needs is returning to campus this summer. Touch of Tennis, started by tennis coach Jim Holt, will begin Wednesday, June 28th at 6:30 p.m.
Holt started the Touch of Tennis program 18 years ago as a way for athletes of all abilities to enjoy the sport. Volunteers from the University and beyond will share their knowledge and love of the sport with the participants, who range in age from 7 to 55 years old. Volunteers include tennis players from GMercyU, area high schools and middle schools, and GMercyU coaching staff.
Volunteer opportunities are available and do not require any tennis background. Donations of money and equipment are always appreciated.
