Griffins Serve Up Fifth Title In A Row

For the fifth year in a row, Gwynedd Mercy took home the Colonial States Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Team Championship with its 5-0 victory over Immaculata Saturday evening.

The title is the ninth in program history. The Griffins secure the CSAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Team Tournament. Pairings will be announced May 7, 2018.

The top-seeded Griffins (14-3) swept through doubles action, taking all three matchups to claim a 3-0 lead. The first team to reach 5 wins is declared the winner and Gwynedd wasted little time in locking up the championship.

Natalie Danze made quick work at #2 singles, notching a 6-0, 6-0 win to put GMercyU one win away. The match-clinching win came at #3 singles, as senior Amanda Goff finished off a 6-0, 6-1 decision to end the action.
