Gwynedd Mercy University Welcomes Charlotte O. McKines as New Board of Trustees Chair
Gwynedd Mercy University is happy to announce that the Board of Trustees recently elected Charlotte McKines as its new Chair. She will begin her three-year term on July 1, 2020.
Charlotte is a global commercial business leader with years of demonstrated expertise in driving innovation, developing cross-cultural talent, and establishing productive and profitable partnerships. Currently, Charlotte serves as a Managing Director at Golden Seeds LLC, a New York City-based early-stage Investment Fund with a focus on Women Leaders. She is also a Senior Consultant for Forge Intellectual Capital LLC and an Investor and Member of Pipeline Angels. Her career also included prominent roles at the Pennsylvania State Treasury, Merck & Co., and Johnson & Johnson.
Charlotte has been a GMercyU trustee since 2004, and has contributed to our campus community in numerous ways. She has served on many standing and ad hoc committees, most recently on the Marketing, Enrollment, and Campus Life Committee as the Chair, as well as the Governance and Trustees Committee and Executive Committee.

"She has shown her unwavering support for GMercyU in countless ways and has played an important role on behalf of the University as a trustee. We are thrilled to have her leading our Board of Trustees as we continue implementing our Strategic Plan."
In addition to her extensive professional experience, Charlotte has a long history of board leadership, both within our own Board of Trustees and other organizations. Charlotte has been an active member of the Board of Trustees for Holy Redeemer Health System since 2013 and for the Drueding Center since 2011. She served three years with the Cordaid International Relief Organization, as a member of the US Leadership Council and the Women's Leadership Initiative.
Charlotte earned her Master's in Business Administration from Boston University's Graduate School of Management and her Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Kent State University. She resides in Whitemarsh Township with her husband Ken Lawrence Sr.
