Nursing Students Attend Health Fair at Meadowood Senior Living

GMercyU Nursing students attended Meadowood Senior Living for a health fair hosted by Pennsylvania State Representative Matthew Bradford on October 26,

“I want to thank 400 Level students Abigail Baitinger, Tara Brown, Taylor Venezia, and Courtney Vengels who represented GMercyU Nursing with professionalism, empathy, and a whole bunch of passion for talking to and informally teaching the residents of Meadowood at Representative Bradford’s Health Fair,” shared Maria Jordan, MSN, RN, GMercyU Nursing Instructor.

At the fair, the students developed a Health Trivia Game for the residents and shared many moments of laughter and learning. Students who could not attend wrote notes of encouragement and affirmation to residents. Upon receiving her note, one resident expressed she’d place her note on her refrigerator to smile every day. One resident thanked the students and said “we need nurses, and Gwynedd nurses are the best.”
