Voices of Gwynedd Performs Annual Carol Nights
The Voices of Gwynedd kicked off the holiday season with one Gwynedd Mercy University's most treasured traditions, its annual Carol Nights.
The world-renowned choir performed three sold-out shows to kick off the holiday season. This year's concert theme was titled "I Wish You Christmas" and focused on the wishes and gifts of Christmas.
The highlight of the concert was a Celtic musical work entitled, light of Peace, which featured familiar Celtic folk tunes, reels, and airs from the Irish and Scottish traditions. The finale of the evening was carols by candlelight around a live nativity scene.

Prior to the Friday concert, the Office of University Advancement hosted its Annual Holiday Concert Donor Reception to celebrate its most loyal donors and volunteer leaders and thank them for their commitment to the university.
The Voices of Gwynedd is a 100-member choir comprised of full- and part-time students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of Gwynedd Mercy University.
Directed by Carol Evans, a seasoned soprano and assistant professor of music in the School of Arts and Sciences, the choir has developed into a highly professional choral ensemble presenting quality programs representing many different genres. Performances by the choir and our musical collaborators are establishing GMercyU as a strong cultural presence in Southeastern Pennsylvania and the entire Tri-state area.
